Forest Area Baptist Church is a church with the entire family in mind. We offer Sunday School for all ages, old fashioned, Christ centered preaching, nursery, transportation, personal soul winning, nursing home ministries, hospital or home visitation, family and youth activities.
Our church is an independent, old-fashioned, Bible believing church that strives to live by the Bible, God’s Holy Word. In what we would call, “the good old days,” broken homes and drug addictions were a rarity. Children were taught to love and respect their parents and people were friendly and neighborly. These characteristics of life are still possible today if we would only turn to God’s Word and decide to live by it.
At Forest Area Baptist Church, we believe God’s Word has the answers to all of life’s problems. By reading and understanding the Bible, we can not only find out how to get to Heaven, but also how to live a successful and victorious life until we get there. God doesn’t want us to grope or fumble around in darkness, but instead He gave us His Word as a guide for our lives. It has specific instructions on how to have a wonderful marriage relationship, how to properly raise our children, and how to cope with the stress of everyday life.
Our church family wants you to know that we care about you. We are committed to helping people find the peace and strength that only God can provide. This is the ministry that the Lord Jesus Christ has given to His churches. Our desire is that you would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and that you would have a church home where you can “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of this church shall be to preach and teach the Bible; to minister to, teach, and disciple our local body of believers according to the clear teachings of Scriptures and the faith once delivered by the saints; to present the Gospel to a lost and dying world; to establish and maintain Bible schools, Sunday Schools and Christian educational systems, ranging from pre-school through high school and/or college, for the spiritual establishment and improvement of our members in the fear of God; to acquire and hold real estate and personal property and to encumber and dispose of the same; and to send out those who can reproduce the same as ministries of this church.
